Skid Steer Mounted CH140 Chipper
A Hydraulically Powered Woodchipper
The Valby woodchipper adds versatility to the contractor's arsenal of skid-steer loader implements. The skid-steer enables the chipper to be used in hard-to-reach and environmentally-sensitive areas.
The woodchipper is powered by oil flow from the skid-steer loader. The chipper has 3/4" pipe thread hoses for pressure and return sides. Quick couplers to match the skid-steer's standard are not supplied with the chipper.
A hydraulic motor powers the chipping disk of the chipper.

Durable Design
The Valby CH 140 is the machine for people who have use for a small, durable chipper. You know this machine was built to last because of the hefty 700 lb. weight. The heavy cutter disk carries a lot of inertia, which helps the chipper run smoother.
Safety Features
The Valby chippers do not have any knife motion toward the operator. This reduces risk of material flying back through the feed chute. The discharge height is under 4 feet so the chips fly out below eye level. To accomplish safe operation in various wind directions, the Valby chipper's discharge direction is adjustable 360 degrees. An adjustable deflector bonnet enables blowing the chips near or far. The chipper feeds the material smoothly and does not jerk it from the operator's hands. The speed of fhe feed roller can be adjusted to the operator's liking. The knives are counter sunk into the disk for safety.
Ease of Service
The knives can be sharpened about 50 times before replacement. The changing of the knives takes about 10 minutes. The knives are easy to get at, and no special tools are needed for the change.
The discharge chute is low so the chipper can be stored in low buildings.

Hydraulic Power Feed Option
The Valby CH140 HMD can be ordered or retrofitted with a hydraulic power feed. The power feed is useful when whole trees with branches are chipped.
The hydraulic feed is controlled from a control bar which runs on top of the feed chute. The operator can select feed, stop and reverse from the control bar.
The large 10 1/8" diameter top feed roller will climb on top of the material and drag it in. The roller is spring loaded and it pushes the material together so that it will fit through the feed chute.
The bottom lip of the feed chute can be folded up for transport.
